Broadcast Operations Center

A 5-phase interior alteration project, in a 24/7 mission critical facility, to provide NBCUniversal with upgraded facilities and infrastructure for their Broadcast Operations Center for the 2014 Olympics.

Project required close coordination with Broadcast Operations and Engineering divisions to implement the stepped sequencing for each phase. Engineering shifted operations to clear an area for alterations, renovations and routine inspections were done by engineering to assure against unplanned impacts to operations, and the technical build, testing, shadowing and acceptance then followed.

The driver for the project was to have new facilities and infrastructure in place for the 2014 Olympics with a few of the phases being performed after the Olympics.
