School of Fashion Renovation
The Steuben Hall Renovations at Pratt Institute were a three-phase project in a 100-year-old building consisting of a chiller installation for the building, C of O compliance improvements building wide and a 30,000 SF renovation for the School of Fashion on the 2nd floor.
The C of O compliance included ductwork for ventilation, sprinkler & fire alarm upgrades, air handler units, ADA bathrooms and modifications to create egress corridors.
The School of Fashion renovation was to provide a gallery-loft type environment for the students.
The scope of work included new sewing and drawing studios with natural light and glass fronts, high ceilings, improved lighting, new A/V systems, air conditioning, upgraded bathrooms, refinished floors & wide corridors that incorporates display areas, open lounge space, pinup/critique locations with built-in banquet seating.
